PSPad is nice, but to my mind a bit buggy. I’ve tried a dozen of various editors(light-weight) and while in Linux/UNIX/Mac world nothing better then vim was I able to find, for Windows I prefer Notepad++ – http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm
Really nice piece of software…

just my 2c.

FYI, you mention Aptana is open source, but this is no more the case.
They switched to a freeware license with redistribution restrictions.

I’ve recently switched from filezilla to WinSCP. Windows users may find the interface of WinSCP preferable, plus it supports FTP/SFTP and SCP. I find it more reliable for FTP than filezilla, plus it makes light work of transfer between linux and windows boxes.

some good programs as well:
notepad++
gamemaker 8 (more of a game making software but you can really do anything with it and create .exe files so really the possibilities are endless)

Below I outline my experience, and more than anything, my constructive feedback to Microsoft. Hopefully the Live Search team is reading! I break my reasoning up into three categories as to why Google is still the best Search out there

We have already done something similar for a utilities co. where all subscribers are mailed their respective their bills using a intelli-mailer program (pdf's editable) and then payments could be done from them without much footprint and a good security as well.let me know if you would like to discuss this further.This is done in Java/Itext.
