Really good commonsense points, very useful to see the contrast between effective and ineffective slides. New resolution: no more death by PowerPoint!

Excellent suggestions!!! I would like to recommend the book "Beyond Bullet Points" by Cliff Atkinson. It is an excellent book that has a large number of suggestions that are similar to your own. For those, like myself, that have a hard time finding time to read a book, I would also suggest taking a look at some of the seminars that have been hosted by Microsoft.

Missing tip: get the grammar and spelling correct.

While some people might not notice and some people might not care, those who do notice and do care (also known as "those with attention to detail" - quite important in quality software development) will stop listening to your content and start editing your slides while you're trying to tell them something; so don't go making silly mistakes like leaving the apostrophe out of "Developer's Guide to ..." ;-)
