One particularly nifty (yet unconventional) application of ICE is to take overlapping pictures of google maps (also FREE for non-commercial use) and use ICE to stitch them together to get one big map...of maybe your entire state!! I actually used it for that purpose once and I gotta say: I'm impressed!!! Actually I think ICE is one of the BEST things to happen to the world of free software.
