The best advice i can give in relation to windows is to download Moovida, it is a free download an i have been using it for months an it honestly changes the way i use my computer for the better.

Do yourselves a favor people, don't waste time with limited garbage like WMC. Try XBMC or LinuxMCE instead. They can do a whole load of crap and improve on the (SCANT FEW) things WMC can do.

I found it in XP. Make sure you "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"…you prob went to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT or HKEY_CURRENT_USER because I mistakenly did it at first.
